- The loading and unloading trucks/containers and movement of goods with the use of a forklift where required in a safe and timely manner with effective care of the product at all times
- Pick and pack orders as required with a focus on accurate and careful packing.
- Dispatch orders as required using systems and with correct data handling
- Ensure all handovers are accompanied by clear name and signature
- Maintain the accuracy of the inventory by accurate processing
- Perform cycle counts and bin checks as required
- Provide immediate communication to the Logistics Team Leader, Supervisor and Operations/ Distribution Centre Manager (verbal and email) of any issues
- Assist in setting up and maintaining Logistics services for new clients
- Use RF equipment
- Use of WMS to wave orders, print labels, or manifests
- Comply with all Work Health and Safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
- Willingly participate in Cross training in all accounts and across sites
The Candidate:
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- Valid Forklift license
- Previous experience (2 plus years) on High Reach and counterbalance forklifts fitted with clamps or standard tynes
- Previous experience in Logistics/Supply Chain or Freight Forwarding Warehouse particularly in the areas of receiving, dispatch and stock control (Minimum 2 years’ experience)
- Experience in a multi-client environment
- Basic computer literacy including Email, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of Material Handling Equipment and Warehouse Management System
- Previous exposure to or experience in RF scanning
- Previous experience using a Pallet Jack
- Experience in 3PL/ contract logistics, distribution and road transport
- Strong teamwork skills
- Highly developed conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills
