We are looking for you as a Asset Management Principles & Implementations Lead (f/m/x) for an upcoming project of DB International Operations in Canada.
Join us to develop the future of North American rail travel and create a unique lighthouse project. The project on the East Coast entails developing operation and maintenance of a new railway corridor to enhance public transport in the region. We are looking for transport and mobility enthusiasts with long-standing experience in railway operations and projects in Canada or worldwide to be part of this unique project in case of contract award.
Your Tasks:
- Develops all necessary measures into a comprehensive asset management policy and long-term strategy that underpins the future active operational phase and provides clear instructions to all technical staff.
- Conducts analyses and evaluate the existing asset documentation to detect asset quality and behaviour, developing an asset management plan based on findings.
- Timely coordination of different maintenance workstreams (such as fleet, signaling, track, structures & civils, facility, high and low voltage).
- Close cooperation with engineering and construction companies to gather full understanding of future construction work schedules and the relationship and effect on asset management work patterns and standards to be implemented.
- Accounts the preparation of Standard Operating Proceredes (SOP) and their approval process and population, including staff training programs and plans to ensure safe operations.
- Evaluates legacy maintenance contracts and recommends for extension, termination, modification, and costing for completeness, compliance and value.
- Proposal, preparation and development of all regulations and technical standards for the operation of high-speed rail systems and their correct maintenance, in coordination with the customer and the supervisory authorities.
- Ensuring all assets are in a safe and reliable condition, and their condition is safely and reliably kept in the records and databases.
- Effective planning and forecasting of all needed staff, tools, contracting support, spare parts.
- Ensuring the timely submission of co-development phase operation and maintenance deliverables.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering with leadership and management expertise.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in asset management of railroad and all rail related systems.
- Good knowledge of railway legislation (e.g. railway safety act) and transport Canada & AREMA rules and regulations.
- Willingness to work in a complex project, providing, new ideas and facilitating collaboration and cooperation between diverse stakeholders to deal with construction and complex engineering issues.
- Knowledge of the principles of accountability and risk management.
- Possesses a valid Ontario and/or Québec driver’s license.
- Fluent in English, including writing and presenting information in the appropriate formats to various stakeholders. French is a plus.
