The Head of Architecture is responsible to ensure an effective and efficient regional Enterprise IT, Information Architecture Management and Solution Architecture 

Management to enable a consistent and costefficient regional IT landscape by implementing respective measures, transparency and governance within the Region. 

For this purpose, the Head of Architecture is responsible to direct IT Solution Delivery Model optimization including application right sourcing on regional level.

Key tasks & responsibilities Job functions

•Manages all ICT activities and duties in area of responsibility in accordance with all relevant legal requirements, SOPs, guidelines, rules of procedures, by laws, compliance and IT Governance rules

•Drives the regional application landscape transformation i.e. ongoing optimization and documentation of existing IT architecture (as part of the overall IT strategy) with special attention on maximization of its standardization and cost efficiency for migration and operation of IT business services in accordance to the global transformation strategy

•Develops and manages cross functional demands on regional level

•Manages regional Architecture budget and performance targets, e.g.  service quality, project deliverables 

•Optimizes IT solution delivery model (incl. application right sourcing) in close collaboration with IT solution centers, ITMs and external suppliers on regional level

•Ensures an effective and efficient Enterprise IT, Information Architecture and Solution Architecture Management, defining Enterprise Information Management (EIM) strategy on regional level

•Manages and maintains the baseline and target architecture and performing solution architecture reviews 

•Steers content and interdependencies of new IT landscape projects along the whole lifecycle on regional level

•Acts as a regional technology scout

•Leads the local Architecture teams

Staff leadership & management

•Manages all services, employees and costs within his/her unit; provides effective leadership and management to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team

•Sets-up and conducts resource planning, allocation of resources for projects and/or ser-vices, prioritization of tasks, as well as budget planning, controlling and activities to keep the team budgets.

•Master’s degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience
•Typically requires 7-10 years of relevant IT management experience in the area of Architecture & Technology
•Practical Experience in planning and monitoring of IT costs
•Leadership experience in managing international cross-functional teams and influencing
senior level management
•High flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
•Fluent in English language skills
