Job Overview


Responsible for ensuring the smooth transition and stabilization of current and newly launched projects. With a background in logistics operations and project management, includes various responsibilities such as operational and management support, new business start-up, safety team assistance, systems expertise, facility and customer management, and implementation oversight. Leveraging their expertise, they drive operational excellence, risk mitigation, and performance optimization in the post-launch phase.


What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)

  • Ops Support & Ops Training:

    o    Provide hands-on support to optimize day-to-day logistics operations and address operational challenges.

    o    Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for operations staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

  • Management Support:

    o    Assist senior management in setting strategic goals and priorities for the stabilization phase of new logistics projects or contracts.

    o    Provide guidance and support to operations managers and supervisors to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and performance targets.

  • New Business Start-Up:

    o    Lead the post-launch phase of new logistics projects, focusing on stabilizing operations, resolving issues, and optimizing performance.

    o    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and implement corrective actions identified during the launch phase.

  • Safety Team Support:

    o    Work closely with the safety team to maintain a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

    o    Conduct safety audits, inspections, and training sessions to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.

  • Systems SME Support:

    o    Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on logistics systems and technology platforms, providing support and guidance to optimize system functionality.

    o    Collaborate with IT teams to address system issues, implement enhancements, and streamline processes.

  • Building Fit-Out Support:

    o    Provide support for ongoing facility fit-out activities, ensuring that facility layout and equipment meet operational requirements.

    o    Coordinate with vendors and contractors to address facility-related issues and ensure timely completion of fit-out projects.

  • Facility Management Support:
    o    Oversee facility operations and maintenance activities to ensure smooth functioning and compliance with operational standards.
    o    Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to facility services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.

  • Customer Management Support:
    o    Maintain proactive communication with customers to address inquiries, concerns, and feedback during the stabilization phase.
    o    Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Implementation Management:
    o    Monitor and evaluate the implementation of new processes, systems, or initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement.
    o    Lead cross-functional teams in implementing corrective actions and optimization strategies to enhance operational performance.

What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)

  • This is a management position. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Supply Chain related field, or >5 Years Industry Experience, be willing to travel extensively (75% domestic), along with proven experience in logistics operations or project management, preferably within a 3PL environment, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams, proficiency in logistics systems and technology platforms with a keen understanding of their impact on operations, knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in logistics and facility management, the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
