  • Rate and allocation procurement and sell price setting on import and export Asia Pacific;

  • Develop trade lane strategy, that supports corporate product strategy and that is aligned with Global Ocean Freight product management

  • Strategic development of the Asia Pacific ocean freight structures and policies;

  • Managing investment funds for the successful procurement of viable and sustainable business opportunities;

  • Liaison between Sales / KAMO and the pricing teams;

  • Develops, promotes and processes regional trade lane strategies under the roof of the global trade lane strategy and optimizes FCL related business structure of [Region APAC], adherence to budget expectations within Asia Pacific (both in terms of GP and Volume);

  • Negotiates and procures local rate terms (ie non-preferred ocean carrier rates, side terms etc.) and assists global and individually assigned country trade teams to achieve best procurement results, managing existing and cultivating new relationships with approved Carriers;

  • Analyse trade lanes and capacities based on cargo flows, carrier shares, net-achieved costs on respective trade lanes and align capacity planning;

  • Aligns, implements and monitors regional FCL budget including monitoring and controlling of FCL volumes performance and management of deviations, fulfilment of Corporate commitments with Suppliers;

  • Reviews and promotes country ocean freight projects with focus on FCL product strategy

  • Processes regional ocean freight market analysis in close cooperation with the countries of [Region APAC and AME] and Ocean Freight Development [Region APAC and AME];

  • Defines FCL related regional business requirements for new and existing uniform IT solutions;

  • Supports regional KAM/Sales functions and country ocean freight teams regarding identification and acquisition of strategic FCL accounts and with attendance on key customer meetings;

  • Supports most efficient establishment and execution of all regional and country operational processes based on the corporate SOP’s and guidelines.

    • Engages and supports the corporate product development
    • Supports the global operational framework
    • Works with countries to implement global solutions / products
    • Supports standardization of SOPs / processes / benchmark / audit
    • Supports Product IT related initiatives

·        Completed College / University degree / Industry apprenticeship

·        At least 8 years Freight Forwarding (related Industry) experience

·        Ability to communicate at all levels of business and across cultural / National boundaries.

·        Proven leadership skills.

·        Comfortable presenting to an audience

·        Excellent negotiation skills

·        Good sales techniques

·        Willingness to travel and / or work overtime when required 

·        Proven track record in business development

·        Excellent written and spoken English Language
