For our office in Oslo, we are seeking a Rolling Stock Engineers (f/m/d).

Responsibilities:
- Manage medium- to large-size capital projects
- Coordinate business improvement projects and programs
- Communicate and consult with internal and external stakeholders, such as the client management team, public officials, manufacturing teams, advisory groups, project teams, and sub-consultants
- Coordinate work plans, schedules, resource plans, budgets, market research, and quality assurance initiatives
- Ensure schedule, budget, and quality assurance requirements are achieved
- Develop and communicate practical recommendations for the client
- responsible for fulfillment of requirements, completeness and conformance of team deliverables to ensure on-time submissions
- Provide technical advisory service regarding Rolling Stock and maintenance of Rolling Stock assets
- Analysis, creation, implementation, and optimization of processes and procedures for the operation and maintenance of vehicles and/ or rail transport facilities
- Create the conception and guide the development and implementation of complex management systems for reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS), quality (QMS), environmental and occupational safety, as well as for maintenance (asset management) according to international and local norms, standards and regulations.
- Prepare progress/ assessment/ general statements and reports to support the decision-making process by the management/ clients
- Advise on the most suitable Rolling Stock Systems for the particular system regarding operations & maintenance and life cycle costs
- Validate the integration of international standards applicable to Rolling Stock
- Assure the consideration and implementation of industrial standards
- Participate in business development and acquisition activities
Qualifications:
- At least a Master Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience overall with relevant experience in the railway industry and in managing medium to large-sized interdisciplinary projects through all project phases (ideally in the transportation industry);
- Experience working with railway or transportation vehicles (streetcars/ LRT/ subways) and/ or rail or transportation operations
- Knowledge in the field of onboard Railway Vehicle Systems, like traction, power supply, brakes, HVAC, communication, doors, lighting, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
- Ability to manage schedules, budgets, task assignments, client requirements, project team and sub-consultants;
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Proven experience in the field of Rolling Stock during design, manufacturing, and testing & commissioning
- International working experience advantageous
- Very good English skills, fluent in writing and speaking (preferably also German and another Scandinavian language or willingness to learn a Scandinavian language)
- Willingness to relocate to Oslo, Norway, and readiness for worldwide business trips
- Good understanding of railway systems, like Coaches, HSR, EMU, DMU, Battery-driven or hydrogen systems,
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Competence in using consulting methods
- High level of Commitment, independent way of working, and team orientation
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) are assets
