Job description

We are currently looking for you to join "Digitale Schiene Deutschland" by DB Netz AG in Berlin.

Your Tasks:

  • In a team of RAMS experts, system architects and engineers you drive the System Architecture for the future digital railway from a Safety and RAM perspective
  • You are responsible for the RAMS targets as an input for the development of a complex system for digital railway operation, including functions like route planning, automated train and infrastructure operation, train protection and train localisation
  • You contribute to the modelling of functional/non-functional requirements for the system and develop processes and methods in order to define, derive, specify and demonstrate the Safety, RAM requirements
  • You take account of the RAMS requirements in the context of system development in close cooperation with systems engineers, architects and the homologation management
  • You compile safety plans and you are responsible to evidence system safety by compiling the (Integration) Safety Case with respect to CSM-RA and CENELEC
  • You execute risk analyses to identify hazards, related RAM and Safety targets and mitigation strategies

Your Profile:

  • You have successfully completed a degree (Bachelor, Master’s) in safety engineering or a similar technical field
  • You are familiar with developing complex systems in the railway area or a comparable mobility sector
  • You have multiple years of professional experience in RAMS engineering and management according to CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, EN 50159 and EN 50657, in CSM (Common Safety Methods), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), FTA (fault tree analysis), HAZOP (hazard and operability study), ETA (event tree analysis), RBD (reliability block diagram) and proofed your expertise in various successful projects
  • You have expert-level experience in the approval and assessment processes, preferably in the field of railway systems
  • You are innovative-driven and familiar with the latest technologies and agile methods (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
  • If you have excellent English language skills, you’ve come to the right place
