Warehouse Manager (Land / Road Freight)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our talented team based in Bradford.

You will be pivotal in providing management and direction to all warehouse operations to ensure an efficient, cost effective and safe environment prevails, delivering on the company’s customer promise.

The role

Resource planning - review and manage resources to ensure optimum cover is provided across all shifts to ensure maximum productivity.  Managing the cost base of the warehouse operation including resource planning and management.

People management - provide leadership and direction through the supervisory structure which is then cascaded to all warehouse operatives. Staff training

Operational - With an approach of continuous improvement, review current practices a and make recommendations which will improve productivity, customer service and safety.

  • To manage and control the security of all warehouse stock and inventory, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • To monitor and report performance against agreed KPIs, addressing issues where performance is below agreed standards and acknowledging performance above expectations.
 

Health and safety - create a safety culture which provides for a safe working environment for all employees and visitors to the site and ensure compliance with H&S rules and procedures.


About you

You’ll have demonstrable Warehouse management experience, ideally within road/land freight. You will have strong demonstrable people management skills (leading, coaching and developing) coupled with strong communication skills, (both verbal and written).

Furthermore, you will have strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and manage high workloads whilst meeting deadlines.
