Job description
We are currently looking for you to join "Digital Rail Germany" by DB Netz AG in Berlin
Your tasks:
- You are responsible for the E2E design & architecture of the diagnostics platform for future rail operations
- The focus will be on the aggregation, management and distribution of service health- and performance data from various trackside systems and facilities, for the purpose of enabling an automated incidence management
- To achieve this, you initially consolidate the requirements on the diagnostics platform from various expert teams
- You then design a harmonized and holistic platform solutions comprising concepts and technologies to monitor and assess the health and performance of trackside systems, and to distribute aggregated diagnostic information via standardized interfaces
- Where applicable, you setup and lead R&D collaborations with external vendors in the field of IoT, data intelligence and system diagnosis and participate in standardization activities related to trackside diagnostics with European partners
- You analyze to which extent existing technologies and standards can be utilized or tailored to meet the DBS needs
- You define and support technology pilots and field trials for the testing of components of the developed diagnostics data platform
Your profile:
- You have successfully completed a degree (Master’s, Doctorate, etc.) in computer science, engineering, or a comparable field of study
- You have in-depth knowledge of service-oriented architectures and a good insight into latest trends regarding IoT platforms and data intelligence. Examples are frameworks such as OPC-UA or MIMOSA OSA-EAI
- Ideally, you have knowledge about diagnostic standards used in industrial manufacturing, automotive or aviation sectors, such as ISO 18435, ISO 14229, ARINC 604
- You are interested in bringing change to the railway sector and want to experience new challenges. Your profound technical understanding is combined with a responsible, intrinsically driven attitude towards work
- Experience in rail operations or railway system diagnostics is a plus
- You have a pioneering spirit and want to take an active role in helping to shape the largest innovative rail project with your expert knowledge
- If you have excellent English skills and a good command of the German language, you’ve come to the right place
