Responsibilities:
- Analyze the maintenance procedures and the Asset Management System proposed by the Asset and Equipment maintenance and original Equipment Manufacturer, in close relationship with the Junior Engineer and in line with the O&M’ strategy
- Assist the DGM Signalling and PSD in providing technical inputs.
- Review of O&M manuals and providing comments.
- Preparing tools and equipment requirement.
- Preparation of maintenance documentation (maintenance plan, staffing plan, training plan) prepared on time.
- Participate to the Testing & Commissioning with a specific attention to the quality of work expected from the manufacturers, suppliers and installers
- Participate to the Trial Run.
- Attend to induction seminars, trainings and upskilling schemes
- Supervise day to day management and delivery of the SIG maintenance staff.
- Drive internal stakeholders about the service quality delivered by SIG Team (implementation of visual management) to promote correction plans and return of experience
- Ensure that root cause analysis is performed timeously for each incident/fault.
- Undertake technical audits and inspections to ensure compliance and high standard quality, and provide recommendations
- Initiate improvement plans for better value for money and enhanced service delivery, including the introduction of new technologies
- Promote changes & innovation by following the best practices
- Comply with the rule book and all relevant safety procedures and processes and enforce them to all subcontractors,
- Review, contribute to and have a full understanding of all safety critical procedures
- Comply with the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and Safety Management System.
- Guarantee that the maintenance activities within his/her systems are carried out in compliance with all safety requirements (Rule Book, permits to works, Risk Assessments/Analysis, Method Statements, Safety files).
- Undertake safety inspections of maintenance staff.
- Ensure that all maintenance duties falling under his/her domain, are performed by trained, authorized and certified staff and that the competency matrix is always up to date.
- Report any safety occurrences or incidents by SIG staff to the line manager in a timely manner.
- Ensure that SIG maintenance staff are aware of safety procedures and any relevant legislation.
- Ensure that all accidents and ‘near misses 'caused by SIG maintenance staff are properly recorded, reported, and investigated to determine the root causes.
Qualifications:
- Diploma /Bachelor’s Degree (B. Tech) in Electronics or any related subject
- 6-7 Years of Experience into Signalling
- Pro-active and self-starter attitude, confidence, and independence
- Excellent communication, networking, and logical thinking
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Good knowledge of MS Office application

We are looking for transport and mobility enthusiasts and entrepreneurs with long-standing experience in railway operations and projects in India or worldwide. We are currently seeking you to build up and manage the operation and maintenance of a Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) business in Delhi, India. This 82km long Delhi-Meerut line will consist of 16 RRTS and 6 MRTS stations. This will include developing a local O&M company from scratch to full operations, developing and leading a passionate and performance driven team, steering quality, performance and customer satisfaction as well as ensuring economic success in India.
