What you will be doing…
Development of training needs analysis and procedures to meet emerging business needs, production and distribution of briefing material, leading and supporting the safe delivery of customer aligned service delivery.
Support development of business growth, cost reduction and operational improvement opportunities.
Work in unison with the Service Delivery and Safety Assurance Managers to ensure all safety critical staff members are competent and training is up to date.
Accountable for the dispatch and quality control of railway transportation services within the area of responsibility.
Delivery of all operational safety aspects of the business (competence assessment, incident & accident investigation, Responsible Site Manager Inspection, New Business Introduction, Risk Assessment / Safe System of Work/ Method of Work.
Ensure decisions and actions comply with work safety, fire protection and environmental protection management standards to promote a safety improvement culture throughout your teams and DB Cargo UK.
Implement effective cost management techniques and processes.
Accountable for the provision of efficient and profitable production performance in line with quality targets to ensure that we deliver high quality service to our existing and future customers.
Your accountability within this role will also include ensuring compliance by all Production staff within the area of responsibility with DB Cargo Safety Management System and all relevant rail safety and regulatory requirements.
What we are looking for…..
Demonstrable experience within a Senior Management position in the rail sector.
Proven experience in people management
Experience in producing and delivering against tight deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills including relationship building and communicating with people of all levels to work collaboratively across the organization.
You will have knowledge of improving processes, with an analytical outlook on decisions to implement, and drive change.
A full UK driving license is essential.
