• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA certification is required.
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles, with at least 5-10 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong experience with Indirect Cost Rates and FAR 31 is essential.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
• Experience in tax compliance, particularly with sales and use tax.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
• Experience in government contracting or a similar environment.
• Familiarity with financial operations in a project-based environment.
• Knowledge of modern financial management tools and techniques.

This role requires a deep understanding of Indirect Cost Rates, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 31, and experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). The Controller will lead the finance team, manage accounting operations, and provide strategic financial insights to drive the organization’s growth. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of managerial experience, be a CPA, and have experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Payroll oversight and tax experience, particularly in sales and use tax, are also valued.
