The position offers an opportunity to gain international experience and be a part of an innovative rail design team, working together to develop solutions for future railways. We are seeking for an experienced Interface Manager which will ensure that the project meets all necessary requirements and is implemented within the set time frame and budgets.  



Responsibilities:

As an Interface Manager you will be responsible for establishing the Interface Management Plan and coordinating interfaces between design authorities, affected parties, field investigation contractors and consultants, public and private entitites, etc.. The position involves the following tasks:


  • Ensuring all interface related considerations (including interface requirements between all project stakeholders, milestones and deliverables) are tracked and managed;
  • Establishing and maintaining interface control sheets in coordination with the investigation and design authorities/entities, Engineers, Affected Parties, and other relevant project stakeholders;
  • Supporting the development of a systematic, documented, comprehensive and verifiable interface management process and assisting other project delegates in the development of investigation and design management procedures;
  • Providing technical guidance and recommanding schedule and cost optimizations in relation to interface, investigation, and design management, liaising with 3rd parties at technical, contractual, and commercial level;
  • Evaluating investigation and design changes and their impacts on project schedule and costs, recommanding mitigation strategies accordingly;
  • Identifying in coordination with the Design Manager, the necessary permits and approvals to proceed with the investigation and design works;
  • Monitoring the performance of 3rd parties (investigation and design authorities, etc.) , ensuring their duties and obligations are carried out efficiently and productively;
  • Tracking and reporting internally and externally on project progress, in particular in consideration of investigation and design entities;
  • Ensuring proper and effective communication and coordination between project stakeholders with direct interfaces in the project execution.
Qualifications:


  • University degree in Design Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience as an Interface/Design Manager in at least one completed Railway Design Project
  • At least 7 years' professional experience in the delivery of railway projects
  • Proven skills in communication and negotiation at highest political levels
  • Strong team-oriented working capability is required 
  • Excellent personal administration skills (taking of minutes, conducting presentations, working to agreed deadlines etc.)
  • Proficiency in English – B2 level minimum 
  • Willingness to relocate to Baltic countries for at least 2 years
