This includes but is not limited to – fault finding, rectification work, damage repairs, modification and work arising.
To ensure that stock levels are kept to the required standard and stock is stored correctly.
To order / reorder stock as required.
To carry out damage reports / overload inspections on behalf of the customer and provide all documentation including photographs when required.
To submit quotes and final costs for 3rd party work
Complete all relevant documentation relating to all work carried out on any rolling stock vehicle including completing and sending the Axiom proforma work order form V2 to the Field Maintenance Assistant
To correctly file / store all rolling stock documentation
To communicate stoppages and up date on the progress of rolling stock to the Field Maintenance Coordinator via telephone.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with a mechanical mindset who has experience with the use of air and hand tools.
Experience in Fabrication, grinding, brake testing is also an advantage
Qualifications within an engineering discipline would be advantageous.
Rail industry experience would also be an advantage.
You must have a pro-active approach to working with good organisation skills.
Benefits
Salary: £27,948.00 per annum.
36 hours per week working Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:30 with the option for overtime on a Friday.
