Ocean Pricing Senior Associate

Responsibilities:

• Assesses incoming Ocean Freight tenders with high level of complexity and pricing requests including independent RFQ handling under supervision (if required), corresponding analyses of the documents and final pricing compilation;
• Supports training of new team members in co-ordination with Head of Ocean Pricing;
• Pricing / Proposal preparation as well as final verification and benchmarking in alignment with the involved regions / countries including Senior Management;
• Consults with Head of Ocean Pricing & Respective Supervisor for final pricing decisions;
• Coordinates and reviews pricing received from the regions / countries / ocean freight product teams in order to secure high quality and competitive submissions to the customers as well as conducts final quality/formula checks/ benchmarking;
• Participates in customer meetings if required.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of Ocean Freight Forwarding/Shipping line and/or RFQ/Tender handling experience;
• Knowledge and understanding of international logistics operations across multiple modes, with an emphasis on ocean freight, independent ocean RFQ/Tender handling, managing the required communication across the globe with respective stake-holders;
• Highly experienced in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.);
• Communication skills supported by customer-oriented attitude;
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve required tasks & targeted results;
• Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix and virtual environment;
• Fluent spoken and written English.
