Responsibilities:
- Track Design: You will be responsible for designing the railway track layout, alignment, and geometry, considering factors such as terrain, existing infrastructure, and project requirements. This includes determining the track's horizontal and vertical alignment, curvature, gradients, and superelevation.
- Safety and Standards: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, and industry best practices in track design. This involves considering factors such as train speed, load capacity, track stability, and maintenance requirements.
- Design Documentation: Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation related to track design. This includes creating plans, profiles, cross-sections, and other relevant drawings that accurately depict the proposed track layout.
- Design Reviews: Collaborating with other stakeholders, such as civil engineers, project managers, and railway authorities, to review and evaluate track designs for feasibility, efficiency, and adherence to project requirements. This involves conducting design reviews and providing feedback or recommendations for improvement.
- Construction Supervision: Providing on-site supervision during the construction phase to ensure that the track is being implemented according to the approved design. This includes monitoring the construction activities, conducting inspections, and addressing any design-related issues or deviations that may arise.
- Quality Control: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that the track construction meets the required standards. This involves conducting inspections, tests, and measurements to verify the track's alignment, gauge, smoothness, and overall quality.
- Project Coordination: Collaborating with various stakeholders, including architects, civil engineers, surveyors, and contractors, to ensure effective coordination and integration of the track design with other project elements. This includes attending meetings, resolving design-related conflicts, and providing technical support as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to railway track design. Actively seeking opportunities to enhance design methodologies, optimize track performance, and improve efficiency in track construction processes.
Qualifications:
- Very good (at least B2 level2) English language skills.
- Professional qualification and relevant education giving the right to provide the services of Railway track designer
- Experience as a lead 1435 mm gauge track designer in at least one fully completed railway design project over the last 10 years (2013-2023) covering the following:
- design is completed until the date of submission of the Proposal;
- 1435 mm gauge and TSI verified railway;
- design speed above 200 km/h
