Deliver Egypt’s first High Speed Rail Service with DBEE. DBEE is a joint venture between DB International Operations and Elsewedy Electric. DB International Operations provides rail operations and maintenance worldwide; Elsewedy Electric, global energy and infrastructure solutions provider. Together, we combine strong local capabilities with proven global railway expertise to enable efficient, safe and sustainable passenger and freight mobility on Egypt’s first High Speed Rail network. We are looking for transport and mobility professionals with substantial experience in railway operations and projects in Egypt or worldwide. Join us to deliver this landmark project in Cairo. 

Reporting to the C-Level, the Sales & Revenue Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously updating commercial strategies that optimize revenue, pricing, and drive passenger growth and service quality for the high-speed railway project in Egypt. This role ensures that sales channels, fare structures, on-board revenues and promotional activities are designed to meet market demand, achieve financial targets, and position the railway as a competitive and attractive mobility solution for passengers and cargo customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Leading the drafting, updating and implementation of the revenue strategy for high-speed, regional and cargo transports including yield management based on own suggested or given goals of the strategy. This includes continuously engaging, discussing and achieving approval by the client of the revenue strategy.
  • Drafting, updating and implementing other revenue, fare and/or yield management strategies, solutions and plans (e.g. onboard sales, optional online and mobile ticket sales webpage, supporting the fare collection plan, setting peak/off-peak or other variable fare types, etc). Engaging with other departments, incl Operations and Security (cash collection) to develop and execute the different plans and strategies and solutions.
  • Develop suggestions for prices and price changes, as well as pricing guidelines are made and aligned with all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure to make demand forecasts considered in proposed revenue strategy including how the revenue per product will perform
  • Align the revenue out of the proposed revenue strategy with the finance department and the CxOs and the client to project expected profit or loss
  • Ensuring gathering data, estimating and reporting of KPIs around revenue strategy and tracking their performance against plans and estimates
  • Ensuring that the revenue strategies are aligned internally and with the client
  • Ensure close collaboration with the Communication Manager to use positive or negative news or communication & marketing for alignment with revenue strategy
  • Ensure that the strategies suggested are reliable/achievable and deviations are assessed and minimized with new revenue strategies as far as possible
  • Develop measures and perform Sales activities to attract new customers as passengers or customers. Align and engage with the client, seeking his support to increase demand.
Qualifications:


  • University degree in an engineering, business or equivalent area (min. Bachelor)
  • Min 5 years of professional experience in a similar role ideally in the transport or a similar industry
  • International experience is an advantage 
  • Proven knowledge in developing demand studies, pricing strategies and revenue strategies in public transport or a price sensitive and highly competitive industry
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident demeanor towards customers, employees, national and international shareholders and state organizations
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think and work independently as well as distinctive collaboration and team working skills 
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company 
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately when under pressure to meet tight deadlines 
  • Strong international and intercultural competencies 
  • Experienced in Sales and Yield Management to optimize revenue
  • Excellent English and Arabic skills, German is advantageous

  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and relevant IT systems, leveraging technology for efficient support.
