Deutsche Bahn has been designing, engineering, constructing, testing, and commissioning, innovative and integrated multi-modal transportation systems for over 180 years. Our clients are passenger, freight railway companies and railway transportation agencies in North America who seek to improve their organizational performance and modernize their product and service portfolio.


Perform engineering duties and technical consultancy on the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects. Complete projects across the full range of planning horizons from the short-term (immediate implementation) to the long-term (visionary concepts). Transform project goals into concepts for rail service, operation and infrastructure. Engage in iterative planning processes that refine and evaluate alternative concepts until acceptable and feasible solutions are identified. Interface with clients and project stakeholders. Ensure quality, budget and timely delivery of assigned project tasks. Write technical reports on approach, input, analysis, assumptions, iterations, and findings. Create visualizations to explain complicated technical matters.


Master’s degree in Civil or Rail Engineering (or foreign equivalent) and 1 year of related experience required, including experience with rail consulting projects, strategic planning, operations planning, and route management.  Brief domestic travel required.

We offer an annual gross salary between $125,000 and $145,000 for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
