Construction Health and Safety Specialist (f/m/d)
We are seeking an experienced and skilled local Construction Health and Safety Specialist (m/f/d) for a Railway Infrastructure Project in Egypt. The Construction Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment within the railway construction supervision project. This role involves developing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and promoting health and safety standards to minimize risks and prevent accidents.

Responsibilities:
- Safety Protocol Development: Design and implement comprehensive health and safety protocols that meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to identify safety concerns and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards at construction sites.
- Training and Education: Provide health and safety training to construction personnel, raising awareness and understanding of safety practices and procedures.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate any accidents or incidents, identify causes, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all construction activities adhere to local and international health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
We particularly welcome applications from candidates with professional experience in the Egyptian construction sector, including familiarity with local regulations, language, and working culture.
- University degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSAS 18001) in railway construction supervision projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- IT and relevant software proficiency.
- Fluency in English, Arabic would be a plus.
