DB Engineering & Consulting, a globally leading engineering and consulting company with almost 7,000 employees and projects in more than 100 countries, has been entrusted with a significant infrastructure project in Uzbekistan. The focus lies on electrifying a 465 km railway line connecting Bukhara, Miskin, Urgench, and Khiva. In addition to modernizing railway technology, the project includes constructing electrical substations, upgrading signaling and communication systems, and efficiently managing resources to ensure successful project execution.

The latest projects of our office in Tashkent include the reform of certain laws regarding the Uzbek railway as well as a training program for increasing safety, reliability, economic and ecological standards of bus drivers in the city of Tashkent.

For those projects in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, we are looking for a student intern.

Responsibilities:

You will gain insights into strategic projects and actively participate in them.
You will be involved in the development of new service concepts and their economic evaluation.
You reliably carry out ad hoc analyses and help with the further development of reporting.
You will support in the preparation of decision papers as part of strategic pricing.
You will also be involved in preparing and following up on committees, appointments, as well as in providing information on corridor activities.
Provide support in developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

You are currently enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student in the field of business administration or management (e.g. Business Administration, International Business, Project Management, Transport Management, Engineering Management or similar).
Ideally, you have knowledge of and an interest in the rail industry.
You feel confident in using Microsoft Office, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Your Russian and English skills are at a very good level (Russian - C1; English - B2)
further language skills (e.g. German, Uzbek) are a plus.
You have an elevated level of analytical ability, entrepreneurial thinking, and customer orientation.
In addition, you are characterized by an independent and structured way of working and a willingness to take on responsibility.
You stand out with a confident demeanor and your ability to work in a team.
You have an affinity for numbers and enjoy dealing with strategic issues, and you have a quick grasp, a structured and independent way of working and analytical thinking skills.
It is of advantage to have first practical experience, e.g. through previous internships or university projects.
