Power Supply System Lead Specialist (f/m/d)

DB E&C is seeking for a Power Supply System Lead Specialist (f/m/d) for an upcoming bid/project in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The project duration will be 24 months and on-site.

It is a "Consutruction Supervision Consultant" project for the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Investment Project (Line - 5): Southern route. The project includes a 17.2 km metro line consisting of 13.1 km underground and 4.1 km elevated alignment with 11 undergroung and 4 elevated stations.  

Responsibilities and Tasks in Detail:

• Report directly to the Chief Resident Engineer (Railway System).
• Supervise the design and installation, testing and commissioning works of the power supply system.
• Review and check the Contractors’ design of the power supply system of the entire project in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements.
• Supervise the installation's progress, conduct inspections for quality, quantity, and safety, and check the maintainability of the system, facilities, and equipment.
• Assist the Client in testing and Commissioning on completion commissioning of the power supply system.
• Assist Interface Management Lead Specialist in interface management issues.
• Assist in resolving actual and potential claims from the Contractors during the manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning stages. 
• Participate in optimisation, cost-benefit analysis, and documented solution analysis. 
• Assist in System integration for the Railway System.

Required abilities, skills and competencies:

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or a closely related field.
• Brings over 15 years of professional experience.
• Has at least 10 years of professional experience in Extra High Voltage (EHV) power supply system works, including one large-scale underground/elevated metro rail project (valued over USD 500 million)
• Demonstrates a proven track record of working outside the home country for a cumulative period of at least 2 years.
• Exhibits professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
