For this project we are seeking a Sr. Safety Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Project Safety Plan, ensuring compliance with Indian statutory requirements, Metro Rail Safety Guidelines, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessments (HIRA) for civil, track, OHE, signalling, and MEP works, ensuring preventive and control measures are in place.
- Carry out site safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks, and enforce corrective actions with contractors and subcontractors.
- Lead accident/incident investigations, prepare root cause analysis reports, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks for project staff and workmen to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Coordinate with Independent Safety Assessors (ISA), metro rail authorities, and statutory bodies to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and periodically test the Emergency Response & Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP), ensuring readiness of safety systems.
- Maintain statutory safety records and prepare monthly safety performance reports for project management and authorities.
- Graduate with minimum 12 years of experience working in Metro/Railways/Large Infrastructure projects.
