We are seeking for a Trackwork Equipment Expert as a part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office. The job opening is located in Cairo, Egypt, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert knowledge in the planning and performance of track renewal and construction works including deployment and operation of heavy track machinery and other track maintenance equipment and tools.
- Consult the client in state-of-the-art track construction and maintenance technology and equipment.
- Supervise and monitor track works performed by the constructor.
- Analyse and review contractors work plans and schedules, method statements, construction logistics, testing & commissioning and work acceptance plans and programs.
- Review track possession plans of the contractors and other contractors’ documents related to trackwork performance.
- Coordinate between the employer, the contractor(s) for trackwork and railway systems as well as the national authority for roads and bridges.
- Lead, assist, and participate in site meetings, in internal discussion sessions, telephone conferences, and team meetings.
- Provide organizational and technical guidance to the trackwork site supervision team.
- Lead official meetings with client’s track department and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports and project deliverables in English.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. degree in civil engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in general project management and site supervision of the construction of permanent way track.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in similar position.
- Practical experience in deployment and operation of heavy track machinery (yellow plant) and other trackwork equipment and tools.
- Previous experience with comparable projects in the Middle East region would be advantage.
- Full computer literacy.
- Excellent knowledge of English language; Arabic language is an advantage.
- Driving license required in order to perform assigned duties.
