We are currently seeking a Project Resident Engineer & Construction Supervisor to work with us in Ireland. The focus of the role is to provide full time site supervision and technical oversight during Phase 6 to ensure contractor works meet design, safety, environmental, and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily site supervision of civil engineering works and monitor contractor adherence to design and specifications.
- Review and verify method statements, ITPs, test results, as‑built information and quality records.
- Ensure construction activities comply with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulation.
- Carry out inspections, audits, and maintain detailed site records including diaries, reports and photographic logs.
- Support the ER/PM in contract administration, including measurement, progress verification, and change identification.
- Coordinate technical queries (RFIs), design clarifications, and resolution of site issues.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, handover documentation and supporting Phase‑7 closure activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in supervision of major civil engineering projects (mandatory as per RfP)
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant technical field
- Strong technical inspection capability, site coordination, and reporting skills
- Proven competence for identifying construction‑stage risks early and implementing practical mitigation strategies onsite
- Ability to translate design intent into clear, actionable site instructions that ensure consistent quality delivery
- Relevant training, certificates, professional memberships of relevant bodies are a plus
- Willingness to travel as per client and business requirements
