Rail Baltica is one of the largest rail infrastructure projects in Europe. It will connect Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to the Central European rail network via an 870 km, double-track high-speed line with a track gauge of 1,435 mm. The aim is to increase passenger and freight transport between the participating countries and between Central and Northern Europe, spurring development of the economic corridor in northeastern Europe.

What will we do?

DB has been involved in this project since the business plan was drafted in 2017, and since that time has also been awarded several design contracts.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking Senior Railway Experts with experience in High-Speed Rail across various specialties, including Design, Design Supervision, Construction Supervision, and Operation & Maintenance.

The Belgrade Metro project will include the design and construction of Line 1, which will connect the southwestern and southeastern parts of the city from Železnik station to Mirijevo station. The line will be 21.2 km long and include 21 stations; the main depot will be in Makiš. The aim of the project is to relieve traffic congestion and provide Belgrade with an integrated public transportation system.

What will we do?

DB will be the lead partner in an international joint venture cooperating on the implementation of the largest and most significant transportation project in the Serbian capital. The project will transform mobility and sustainability in Belgrade, and DB will lead the project in a joint venture with Systra.

Who are we looking for?

The team will support the city of Belgrade and all other stakeholders by providing technical oversight of the design process for the construction permit, project management, construction management and expert supervision.

The evolution of Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics sector is anticipated to play a pivotal role in propelling the country’s economic growth. A key element of this progression involves the transformation of KTZ into a comprehensive transport and logistics entity. DB Engineering & Consulting is set to work closely with KTZ to facilitate this transformative journey.

DB has been awarded a contract to supervise the electrification of a major rail line. This decision, made at the 6th meeting of the German-Uzbek Economic Council, gives DB an excellent opportunity to continue the important strategic partnership with Uzbekistan.

What will we do?

DB will supervise the electrification project, which will start in the fall. In addition to reducing travel time, it is expected to increase the tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan, increase the capacity of transit corridors, and reduce CO2 emissions.
