For this project we are seeking a Chief Track Expert for a Semi High Speed Rail Project in Delhi, India.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the track works team to review and supplement DPR/DBR and design standards related to track works, alignment, design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning—ensuring compliance with track standards and proper interface with civil structures.
- Evaluate and recommend track structures suitable for the project.
- Review, finalize, and approve track alignment.
- Review/prepare outline designs, preliminary designs, tender designs, pre-qualification criteria, and bid documents for trackwork packages; attend pre-bid meetings and assist in tendering and evaluation processes.
- Review and approve outline designs of depot sheds and stabling sheds from the perspective of track requirements.
- Review, provide value additions, and approve ballastless track designs of all types, including noise and vibration mitigation measures, arrangements for S&T equipment, and technical proposals covering track curvature, turnouts, gradients, crossovers, fittings, buffer stops, and de-stressing plans.
- Manage trackwork installation, testing, and safety, handle day-to-day technical matters and contract management, attend meetings, prepare reports, and assist NCRTC in obtaining necessary approvals and certifications.
- Review and approve installation procedures and method statements for ballastless and ballasted tracks.
- Review and compile installation and maintenance manuals for various track components and structures.
- Oversee maintenance of ballastless and ballasted track.
- Perform any additional tasks required for successful project delivery as assigned by the PD/Employer.
- Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in rail-based passenger transit systems.
- At least 10 years of experience in design or installation of ballastless track systems—including track alignment—for MRTS, Regional Rail, or High-Speed Rail, in the capacity of Chief Track Expert or an equivalent position.
- Experience in at least one “Eligible Assignment,” defined as serving as Chief Track Expert or an equivalent role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience on projects involving rail-based passenger transit systems with an operational speed of 160 km/h or above in developed countries, as defined by the UN.
- Graduate degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Working proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
