Responsibilities:
- Review and comment on electrical power supply system designs, calculations, and technical submittals, ensuring compliance with the D&B Contract and Employer technical requirements.
- Oversee the integration of traction power systems with rolling stock, signalling/ATC, SCADA, OCC/TCC, depot systems, and station electrical networks.
- Support inspections, installation verification, and quality oversight activities related to substations, feeders, switchgear, cables, grounding, and bonding systems.
- Participate in testing & commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, energisation, load tests, protection testing, and system integration testing for power supply systems.
- Monitor power system performance, availability, redundancy, and operational reliability in line with RAMS requirements and operational scenarios.
- Participate in NCR reviews, defect investigations, and verification of corrective actions related to electrical and traction power systems.
- Assess interface risks and safety considerations associated with power supply systems, including emergency power, degraded modes, and fault scenarios.
- Prepare technical reports, test reviews, compliance assessments, and power system performance updates for Employer review as part of PMCM reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, with 12+ years of experience in power supply or traction power Systems.
- Proven experience on rail or metro projects involving traction power supply, substations, power distribution, and electrical system integration.
- Strong understanding of interfaces between power supply systems and rolling stock, signalling, SCADA, stations, depots, and control centres.
- Ability to review power system designs, protection schemes, single‑line diagrams, calculations, test documentation, and O&M manuals.
- Familiarity with RAMS principles, system availability requirements, and safety considerations for metro traction power systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to assess electrical system faults, performance issues, and integration challenges.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with PMCM teams, D&B Contractors, O&M Entities, and Employer representatives.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and adaptability suitable for a complex, multi‑contract metro megaproject Environment.
