Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals for compliance with the D&B Contract and Employer Requirements.
- Support monitoring of electrical installation works at stations, depots, and ancillary facilities, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved designs and standards.
- Participate in site inspections, installation verification, and quality checks, recording observations and supporting NCR reviews and closeout.
- Assist with testing & commissioning activities for electrical systems, including functional tests, SAT support, and interface checks under senior engineer supervision.
- Support coordination of electrical interfaces with signalling, communications, mechanical systems, traction power, SCADA, and station systems.
- Review assigned electrical documentation such as method statements, test records, O&M manuals, and as‑built drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in identifying electrical system issues, defects, or interface concerns and support resolution through coordination with PMCM teams and contractors.
- Prepare inspection notes, technical summaries, and progress inputs to support PMCM reporting to the Employer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline, with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting electrical works on infrastructure, rail, metro, or large building projects.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing/bonding, auxiliary systems, and interfaces with other disciplines.
- Ability to read and review electrical drawings, schematics, technical reports, test results, and NCRs under guidance.
- Familiarity with basic testing & commissioning processes for electrical installations.
- Developing understanding of safety, quality, and RAMS considerations for electrical systems in transit environments.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with PMCM teams, contractors, inspectors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Professional attitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and adaptability appropriate for a junior‑to‑mid level role on a major metro project.
