We are looking for you to join as Expert Operations (f/m/d) in our Expert Operations Business Unit as soon as possible.

Your tasks:


  • Manage and further develop international operations projects, including implementing and optimizing standards and processes
  • Build and maintain international customer relationships and handle stakeholder management, especially for operations in Egypt and the Middle East
  • Prepare technical offer details for international tenders and implement them within projects
  • Develop solutions for operational and technical challenges, prioritize and assign tasks within the team
  • Coordinate collaboration with stakeholders, departments, and external service providers, ensuring quality assurance of project deliverables in an international setting
  • (Sub-)project management for railway operations (e.g. Metro, Highspeed, Cargo) . Develop the necessary plans/concepts/schedules based on client demands considering contract requirements and project milestones
  • Identify and manage operation risks and dependencies; drive mitigations; control scope changes and maintain baseline alignment across schedules and budgets
  • Development of KPI’s to measure successful operational performance

Your profile:


  • Degree in engineering, information technology, transportation, or a related field and/or a degree in economics or business administration
  • Proven experience in international rail projects and comprehensive project life cycle knowledge, with a particular focus on Egypt and the Middle East, including the management of complex, cross-border collaborations
  • Strong background in international customer relations and stakeholder management, with established expertise in dealing with international clients and stakeholders including negotiation experience in Egypt and the Middle East
  • Proven capability to manage and guide subject-matter experts, leveraging their specialized know-how and effectively guiding their contributions, without assuming the role of primary technical expert
  • Solid understanding of railway core competencies and their connection to IT/OT systems
  • Proven ability to develop scalable and competitive technical concepts for bids and operations in alignment with business and operational goals
  • Experience in technical requirements management, especially for procurement processes
