We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Leader of the Technical Advisory Team (m/f/d) for a transformation project for the Hellenic Railways in Athens, Greece. In this position, you will be re-sponsible for to lead and represent a team of 20-25 experts proving technical advisory services in the fields of railway operation, maintenance, asset management, safety management, project delivery, governance and digital transformation. Your focus will be ensuring that DB’s services help our client Hellenic Railways to fully meet the standards of a modern, efficient, safe and digitally advanced European Infrastructure Manager.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 20-25 internal experts located in Greece and in DB’s headquarters
Represent DB in towards Hellenic Rail’s management and external stakeholders.
Achieve compliance with European legislation and relevant directives on safety, interoperability and maintenance Monitor safety performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance the overall safety of railway system
Meet the operational and efficiency objectives set out by the Client
Implement an effective organisational model and operational framework, in line with European best practices
Establish a sustainable culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

Successfully completed university degree in engineering, business management or similar and relevant professional experience in a comparable, complex role
Strong understanding of operations and maintenance, project delivery, safety regulations and digitalization in the railway infrastructure management environment
Ability to lead and motivate teams, influence others, and foster a positive safety culture
Minimum of 20 years’ work experience and 10 years’ in similar tasks
Minimum 10 years’ experience in leadership
You impress with your impartial moderation skills and intercultural sensitivity
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fluency in English mandatory; German and Greek would be an advantage
