We are seeking a People Movement Consultant as part of DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, Saudi Branch. The job opening is located in Saudi Arabia and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible in ensuring the smooth movement and deployment of personnel across various project sites.
- Design of bus network systems and private collective transport systems (company buses) and system capacity assessment.
- Work closely with stakeholders to optimize workforce deployment, streamline processes, and enhance overall project efficiency.
- Estimation of transport demand related to employees and hourly demand analysis.
- Conduct Park & Ride analysis.
- Network performance analysis, also based on site visits.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to assess project progress and identify potential issues or concerns.
- Support the testing and evaluation of prototypes or experimental designs under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements relevant to the field of engineering.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the engineering team and the company
Qualifications:
- Technical understanding of the following areas of transport planning: Local Transport Plans, Local Plans, Route-Based Strategies, Public Transport Modelling, Transit Operations and Sched-uling, Park & Ride, Data Analysis, and Public Transport Performance Analysis and Strategies Development.
- Experience conducting multimodal analysis, preparing reports, and developing transit service plans or concept designs.
- Working experience in Saudi Arabia advantage.
- Fluent in both English & Arabic language. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
- Analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Experience with MS Office applications including excellent skills in Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use various software packages, including AutoCAD, AutoTrack, GIS tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS, transit planning tools.
- Experience of the travel demand modeling tool PTV VISUM is necessary.
- Professional, good communication skills with both clients and colleagues, and good report writing abilities.
- Ability to prepare detailed and effective presentations.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and provide a good level of guidance and supervi-sion to more junior staff.
