For this BID, we are seeking a Junior PMO Manager as part of DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, Qatar Branch. The job opening is located in Doha, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of PMO policies, standards, and processes in alignment with project and client requirements.
  • Monitor the progress of project initiatives and support the collection, verification, and analysis of execution data.
  • Support executing teams in initiative planning, risk identification, and mitigation activities.
  • Help develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) in coordination with the PMO team.
  • Gather and analyse project data to prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regular updates with project teams and contribute to the preparation of progress presentations and reports.
  • Support the Senior PMO Manager in managing stakeholder relationships, including coordination with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Participate in risk management and change processes, maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer for ministry staff.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is regularly updated and compliant with governance standards.
  • Attend meetings as required, recording minutes and tracking action items for follow-up.
Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degrees preferable).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, with proven experience in senior roles within the transportation infrastructure of at least 3 years.
  • Proven track record in delivering at least 2 major railway projects in a similar role (Junior PMO Manager, Project Coordinator or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of previous working experience in GCC region (Gulf Cooperation Council) required.
  • Experience with project management and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate in multicultural teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with international project management standards (e.g. PMI, Prince2) beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as per project/client/company requirements.
