The RAMS Manager will lead the delivery and coordination of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety activities for the Rail Baltica Global Project. The position is responsible for system-level RAMS integration, risk management, compliance demonstration, and coordination of a multidisciplinary and multinational team throughout the railway project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Contractor and the Client
- Lead the coordination and delivery of all work packages.
- Ensure integration of RAMS principles across all project phases.
- Lead the definition, review and implementation of the project-wide RAMS strategy, targets, requirements and associated processes.
- Coordinate, review and approve RAMS deliverables, including RAMS plans, hazard analyses and logs, compliance matrices, RAM reports and the System Safety Case.
- Lead all necessary risk assessments and safety analyses at system level, in compliance with the CSM-RA regulation and the CENELEC standards (e.g., EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129).
- Coordinate the preparation of RAMS documentation, ensuring alignment with the project's safety objectives.
- Review and approve all the RAMS documentation prepared by the RAMS team.
- Coordinate RAMS activities across infrastructure, energy and control-command subsystems and manage interfaces with implementing bodies, contractors, suppliers and relevant project stakeholders
- Support engagement with the Assessment Body, European Union Agency for Railways and National Safety Authorities, including technical reviews, audits, resolution of findings and preparation of evidence required for safety assessment and authorisation
Qualifications:
- Professional experience obtained within the previous 15 years as a RAMS Manager at system-integration level, or in an equivalent role, on at least three railway infrastructure projects
- Experience as a RAMS Manager on at least two high-speed railway projects (>250 km/h) covering at least two of the following areas: civil and track works, traction power/electrification, and control-command systems
- Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary and multinational RAMS teams on complex railway infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in preparing system-level RAMS and safety compliance demonstrations in accordance with applicable EU legislation and railway standards
- Strong knowledge of CSM-RA Regulation (EU) No 402/2013 and relevant CENELEC standards, particularly EN 50126-1, EN 50126-2, EN 50716 and EN 50129
- Experience in railway integration hazard analysis and management, together with requirements management, interface management, verification and validation processes.
- English-language proficiency of at least CEFR level C1
- Availability to work and live in Riga for 4 years
