We are currently seeking Safety Assurance SMEs with high-speed rail system experience.

Responsibilities:

Support the O&MA Manager in the delivery of all operations and maintenance advisory services.
Provide expert safety engineering and assurance support across all operational and technical dis-ciplines.
Contribute to the development and implementation of a safety assurance regime for high-speed rail operations.
Support the identification and management of safety requirements across operations, control systems, rolling stock, and infrastructure.
Lead the preparation, review, and validation of safety assurance documentation, including hazard logs, safety cases, and compliance evidence.
Participate in system safety assessments using CSM-RA, EN50126/8/9, and other relevant stand-ards.
Support the creation of a safety licensing strategy and roadmap for high-speed railway operations.
Lead workshops on hazard identification, risk evaluation, and mitigation development.
Ensure alignment with all applicable regulatory requirements and international best practices.
Collaborate with RAMS, operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure integrated safety solutions.
Provide written reports, presentations, and expert guidance to the project team and the client.

Qualifications:

15 years of experience in railway maintenance, preferably high-speed rail (>250 km/h).
Demonstrated experience in railway safety assurance, preferably with high-speed rail (>250 km/h).
Strong understanding of system safety engineering principles and applicable standards (CSM-RA, EN50126/8/9).
Experience in developing and managing safety cases for high-speed or complex rail systems.
Ability to identify, analyse, and mitigate operational, technical, and system hazards.
Knowledge of safety regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements for rail systems.
Degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an equivalent field; postgrad-uate qualifications beneficial.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong analytical, documentation, and risk management capabilities.
Willingness to work in Australia several times a year on a monthly or weekly basis
