Section Engineer -: MEP- Mumbai Metro Line 4 (f/m/d)

Key Responsibility:

1. Ensure all designs comply strictly with national and local plumbing codes, fire codes, environmental regulations, and specific metro/railway standards
2. Prepare detailed design reports, technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BoQ), and construction drawings
3. Participate in value engineering sessions to optimize system design for cost and energy efficiency without compromising safety or operational requirements.
4. Act as the primary technical interface for plumbing systems, coordinating closely with Architects, Civil/Structural Engineers, Electrical Engineers (for power supply to pumps), and Mechanical (HVAC) Engineers.
5. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and the technical evaluation of bids from plumbing contractors.
6. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the installation, testing, and commissioning of all plumbing and drainage works are executed according to the approved design, specifications, and quality standards.
7. Review and approve contractor-submitted shop drawings, material submittals, and Request for Information (RFIs).
8. Witness and approve all system tests and ensure proper handover and training documentation is prepared for the metro operator.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. Candidate should be from Mechanical background/ having degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. He/ She should have minimum 7 years of total experience (as per criteria for K4 position) and relevant Metro Project experience in Plumbing work.
3. He/ She should be able to read and review the architectural drawings from MEP concept.
4. He/ She should be able to do interfacing between Civil & Finishing contractors.
5. He/ She should be able to guide Section/site engineers at site during execution of plumbing related work.
6. Candidates’ role will be limited to station construction work.
