Responsibilities:
- Lead the review and approval of communications system designs, technical submittals, and architecture documents, ensuring compliance with the D&B Contract and Employer Requirements.
- Oversee integration of communications systems with signalling/ATC, OCC/TCC, SCADA, rolling stock systems, PSDs, and station systems to ensure seamless operational connectivity.
- Provide technical leadership during testing & commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, subsystem testing, network validation, and operational readiness verification.
- Monitor performance, availability, and reliability of communications systems in line with RAMS requirements and operational performance criteria.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, including alignment with ISO/IEC 27002, IEC 62443, and national cybersecurity standards.
- Participate in inspections, audits, NCR reviews, and quality assurance processes related to communications system installation, configuration, and performance.
- Assess technical risks, system vulnerabilities, and interface challenges, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies and corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate with PMCM teams, D&B Contractor, system suppliers, O&M Entity, and Employer stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure full system readiness for operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline, with 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in telecommunications systems for rail or metro projects, including radio systems, fibre/data networks, PA/PIS, CCTV, and operational telecom systems.
- Strong understanding of integration across communications, signalling, rolling stock, SCADA, traction power, OCC/TCC operations, and station systems.
- Proven ability to review and validate telecom designs, system architectures, cybersecurity requirements, test procedures, NCRs, and commissioning deliverables.
- Familiarity with RAMS principles, system availability requirements, and operational performance expectations for automated metro systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess system performance, identify risks, and develop effective mitigation solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills for working in a multi‑disciplinary, multi‑contract environment.
- High level of professionalism, technical rigor, and adaptability required for complex communications system delivery in a metro megaproject.
