We are seeking a Signaling Expert (f/m/d) as a part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Abu Dhabi. The job opening is in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.

Responsibilities:

Review and approve design and engineering deliverables related to signalling, ensuring functionality, safety, performance, RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety), and integration with other systems
Coordinate and manage interdisciplinary reviews and comment resolution meetings for signalling documents; ensure configuration management throughout the project
Supervise and witness Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), software testing, and interface tests for signalling systems; review/approve related reports before dispatch to site
Review and manage the implementation of Safety Verification Plans and ensure all safety certification steps are completed for signalling systems
Manage and cooperate with the Employer’s Independent Safety Assessor (E-ISA) for signalling, provide required technical information, and implement recommendations for improvement
Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for signalling works, from preconstruction through testing, commissioning, and handover
Support the preparation and review of Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) applications and ensure compliance with stakeholder and authority requirements for signalling interfaces
Ensure integration and interface management between signalling and other railway systems, including rolling stock, telecommunications, and civil works
Manage approvals and permits database for signalling works; coordinate with authorities to secure timely consents
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for all signalling-related approvals, tests, and certifications
Maintain the signalling hazard log and support safety certification, including participation in safety review boards
Prepare technical presentations and reports as required by the client or stakeholders, especially to demonstrate compliance and resolution of key issues in signalling
Review and approve signalling O&M documentation; assure operational readiness and contractual compliance

Qualifications:

University degree (preferably Master’s and/or Chartered Engineer status)
Minimum 15 years of experience in managing design and/or construction of rail projects, with specific focus on signaling
Proven experience in High-Speed Rail (HSR) project implementation is highly preferable
Must have previously held the same position for at least one project of similar size
Local Experience in Middle East and/or UAE project experience is advantageous
Fluent in spoken and written English ins mandatory; Arabic language skills would be an advantage
