Responsibilities:
- Review and comment on track and railway design drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with the D&B Contract and Employer Requirements.
- Support oversight of track installation works, including alignment, geometry, fastening systems, turnouts, and crossover installations, ensuring quality and compliance with approved designs.
- Participate in inspections, quality assurance activities, and NCR reviews related to track construction, identifying defects and verifying corrective actions.
- Assist with testing & commissioning of track systems, including geometry verification, track acceptance tests, interface testing with rolling stock and signalling, and readiness for dynamic testing.
- Coordinate track system interfaces with signalling/ATC, traction power, rolling stock, depot tracks, PSD stopping accuracy, and maintenance equipment.
- Monitor track performance, maintainability provisions, and safety considerations in line with RAMS and operational requirements.
- Review track‑related documentation including method statements, O&M manuals, inspection records, and as‑built drawings for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection findings, progress updates, and compliance documentation for Employer review as part of PMCM reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline, with 10+ years of track and railway engineering experience
- Experience working on metro or rail projects involving ballastless track, turnouts, crossovers, depot tracks, and rail‑vehicle interfaces.
- Understanding of track system integration with rolling stock dynamics, signalling/ATC requirements, traction power return systems, and platform stopping accuracy.
- Ability to review track geometry data, alignment reports, installation drawings, inspection records, NCRs, and commissioning documentation.
- Familiarity with RAMS principles, safety requirements, and maintainability considerations for permanent way systems in automated metro lines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify track‑related issues, assess risks, and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
- Good communication and coordination skills for working with PMCM teams, D&B Contractors, signalling, rolling stock, and O&M stakeholders.
- Professional attitude, attention to detail, and adaptability suitable for a complex, multi‑disciplinary metro infrastructure project.
